Lilburn has so much to offer. It has so much history and so muh charm. Little did I know that when we "ended" up here a few years back, we would become entranced with this quaint town. This is why I have decided to dedicate this blog to posting (and having other Lilburn residents) post their "favorite places" and stories about Lilburn.
I will start with the Lilburn parks and main street. The first time I found out where the "City Hall" in Lilburn was, I was amazed. Kids were at the park nearby playing, families taking "family walks", dogs being walked. I could feel the sense of community.
Recently, my wife and I decided we wanted to take family walks so we have been going to the new walking trail off of Arcado and Killian Hill. People talk to you! We were shocked. You see, comng from Miami, this is huge! We have enjoyed talks with whole families and kids and more importantly our own family time, with our son and of course, our dog, Java.
Our church is nestled in the center of Lilburn, Parkview Presbyterian Church, and I have rarely felt more welcomed anywhere else. This is a small church where "everyone knows your name:.
Born in New York, raised in Miami, and now living in Lilburn. Who would have known? But I love it. I love it so muh that even in this real estate market, I am concentrating my efforts in our community as I can share my love for this city with my buyers and legitimately feel sad for my sellers as they need to move on.
With all this being said, I have decided to launch a contest and will continue with a different one each month. This month, the contest will be dedicated to you sharing (in the form of comments here) what you love the most about living in Lilburn! It does not have to be super long, but by August 15th I will decide (with some peers) which comment was most touching and the winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to local restaurant.
